Have you heard about key competencies for adult educators?

They are called key competencies at skills and knowledge that every adult educator needs to have to effectively lead their classes. It's not just about knowing a lot or being an expert on a particular subject, but also about knowing how to help people learn, use technology, organize classes and adapt to different needs.

In TeachUp, we will use the GRETA model, which groups these skills into four main areas: knowing how to teach, managing your work, good professional values, and in-depth knowledge of the subject you teach.

These skills enable educators to train flexibly and receive a real recognition because of what they learn and teach.

Our main objective

Create a competency-based curriculum for adult educators, with a micro-credential system and a digital platform that facilitates training, monitoring and professional recognition throughout Europe.

How will we do it?

  • Competency framework and modular curriculum based on the GRETA model.
  • Training modules and assessment tools aligned with European standards.
  • Accessible and intuitive digital platform that provides the content and manages the microcredentials.
  • "Training for trainers" program and pilot tests in different countries.
  • Dissemination strategies and collaboration with European institutions and networks to ensure the execution and continuity of the project.
